"Wonder" composed by Brian Brill

WONDER – A composition by composer Brian Brill explores the sense of awe and wonder that humans have experienced throughout the ages as they have gazed up at the heavens, inspiring deep contemplation on the nature of existence and our place in the vastness of space. The eleven movements that comprise WONDER are based on poetry about stars, from traditional and contemporary poems, and are scored for a small orchestra and SATB choir. The music and words are knitted together skillfully and seamlessly, using inventive melodic and rhythmic themes. The moods shift effortlessly through the piece from pensive to playful, with plenty of memorable moments of grandiose fullness and soaring melodies to warm the heart. Listening to WONDER will no doubt uplift your feelings and heighten your awareness as you ponder the beauty of the night sky.
